‎Each one of us has a fire in our heart for something. It’s our goal in life to find it and keep it lit. – Mary Lou Retton

Sometimes in the pursuit of finding our true self, we come to realize that certain parts of our lives would have to change. This single word “change” never fails to frighten me. It often requires an individual to step out of their comfort zone and walk onto the path of the unknown. When the individual fails to embrace change, he/she might fail to reach the fullest potential of the intended goal. Why then, is the concept of change difficult to understand, let alone pursue?

The path of the unknown is often times dark with possible trapholes which would swallow you into a bottomless pit. However, at the end of every tunnel, there will be a bright burst of cheery sunshine, and it is our mission to reach the end should we embark on this journey of the unknown. That said, should you fall into a traphole with a bottomless pit, you have to let go of your ego and pride. Scream your lungs and heart out in desperate cry for help, and the people who care for you will come running to your aid and guide you out of the hole. They will pull you back onto your feet and offer never-ending strings of encouragement to help you on your journey into sunshine.

Yesterday, I posted a question on Twitter, “What happens when you have to choose between a professional career that’s financially secured & a dream career that isn’t stable?” The replies:

I am terrified of losing my place in the digital marketing and communication world should I embark on my dream career. At the same time, I do not want to live to regret my decision ten years later. That said, paperwork would have to be filed before I make my final decision in three weeks. But one thing is for sure — I am ready for a change.

P.S. Thank you to those who replied me on Twitter. Big hugs to you guys.
